I finally got my blog back up and running! I’m still tweaking things so bear with me if all the bells and whistles don’t work yet.
Well, the holiday hubbub is finally over, the kids are back to school and I’m extremely content to be sitting here with my hot coffee and a quite house.
I am going to revel in this moment…..ahhh!

I also thought I’d share some images from this shoot I did recently. This smiley bundle of joy was a preemie which you’d never guess looking at him now.
I could just kiss and pinch those cheeks all day!

Where have I been you ask? I’ve been playing Santa and delivering a record number of holiday cards for Katherine Chambers Photography! Wow, it’s true, I’ve never done SO many holiday cards in all these years. It’s so fun to see my clients faces when they open their own holiday card. It makes me feel JOY to give that joy to someone else.

Ok…back to work for me. I leave you with the most precious little dolls…

It’s been a whirlwind of photography sessions for me this past month.  The summer weather won’t last long so the summer sessions are just about a wrap. Here comes the fall frenzy…followed by the holiday frenzy! Where does the time go?! We are almost completely booked up for the next couple of months. That’s enough of the chit chat, so lets move onto the cute baby! I will share this little peanut. I photographed her as a newborn last year.  Which you can see here. She was just a tiny preemie last time I saw her and now she’s toddling about and as sweet as ever.

Working with little kiddos I get to see all the amazing things that make childhood great. It’s such a brief period of time. I challenge you to not smile when you look at this little fella. It’s impossible! He was so funny and full of personality. He ran the gamut of expressions and moods; each just as adorable as the next. He has such a fabulous serious face too. I just wonder what going on in his mind, like “who’s this crazy chick with that clicky thing!”

Just kidding! That’s just what I hope she’s says when she’s all grown up. Just think about when her Mom and Dad pull these out at her wedding!

Doesn’t she have a SEVERE case of cuteness?  This sweet one-year-old was beyond a joy to photograph.  Her smile was just infectious!

I love this stage….not all baby….but not yet big kid.  Crawling…walking…crawling…walking.  As a mother, I am thrilled to have been able to freeze this time for my client.

At least that’s how these “chillaxed” parents made everything seem (yes, I just used that word!). Everything was very calm and there was a very tranquil vibe in this house. I think that shows on the peaceful little faces I met that day.

Ahhh, to be three again. I’ve worked with this family many times before but this photo shoot was just for their youngest. She possesses the exuberance that only a three year old has!

Another day, another beautiful baby to photograph. I know—right?! Who gets to hang out with adorable babies all day long and photograph them? Ha, ha—ME!

I’m starting to think spring and already doing some shooting outside which makes me SO happy. Just like this little cutie pie. Don’t you just want to nibble on those sweet, happy cheeks?!

He’s so adorable! This new friend was very awake and curious what I was doing! I think he was fascinated by the clicking of my camera and the face playing peek-a-boo behind it. Ultimately he fell asleep. So peaceful.

As a side note, where on earth are all the baby girls? It’s so funny! I’ve hardly photographed any girls yet this year!

Just a sweet little guy. It’s newborn season here and the winter light is divine.

I just met this gorgeous family for the first time this year. The Mom and I have a mutual obsession with the clothing store/catalog Mini Boden (Ugh, I’m obsessed!). She said her husband hides the catalog when it comes in the mail. I’m happy to say that my husband hasn’t caught on to that trick yet:)

It was a perfect afternoon; great light, happy kids and a beautiful fall day!

This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of working with this family. Last time there was just one sweet little girl and now they have two! I had a blast running around outside with them and there was no shortage of energy from this exuberant two year old!

I’m way behind on my proofing so that’s it for now. Got to run…

Please meet my newest little friends Tyler and Madison, all of four weeks old and barely 6 pounds each! I flew to Chicago for their first “and LAST” naked photoshoot (says Dad!). It was a pleasure!

Yep, it’s that time of year when I’m shooting lots of family photographs that will later be used on holiday cards and given as gifts.

This family was a pleasure to work with again. I’ve been photographing this brother/sister combo since they were just days old…it’s been a treat and an honor to watch their little personalities emerge.
